In this volume, a megalomaniac businessman has stolen an artificial typhoon created by Yoko's father and intends to use it as a military weapon. Hundreds of lives are in danger. Yoko and Aoki, her teacher, eventually manage to neutralise the typhoon, but Aoki has to sacrifice himself in the process.

About Roger Leloup

Roger Leloup joined Herge's studio in 1953, where he assisted Herge in the drawing of Tintin's Adventures. He has also worked with Peyo (the creator of the Smurfs). Yoko TsunoA debuted in Spirou magazine in 1970. Leloup was awarded the much-coveted Grand Prix de la Jeunesse Sci-Fi in 1990.
