Daisy and Min quarreled irrevocably when Min discovered best friend Daisy in bedwith her boyfriend, Hugh. Fifteen years later Daisy is on her way to stay with Min. Prepared to feel envy of her friend's apparent happiness and social position, she finds that Min is struggling: The family estate is run-down; her children are difficult; her mother-in-law critical and her husband, Robert, objectionable.
