Polka Dot Poems Summary

Polka Dot Poems: 100 Weird and Wonderful Haiku by Zaro Weil

This joyful book is an exuberant, humorous and eye-popping poetry primer for young children. It is written by acclaimed poet Zaro Weil and exquisitely illustrated in full colour by Lucy Wynne.

About Zaro Weil

Zaro Weil lives in southern France with her husband, two sheepdogs, alongside a host of birds, insects, badgers, wild boars, crickets, donkeys, goats, hares and loads more. She has been a lot of things; dancer, theater director, actress, poet, playwright, educator, quilt collector, historian, and author and publisher. Zaro's previous collection, Firecrackers and Cherry Moon, were widely praised and lauded for their brilliant writing and their sumptuous production and design.

Lucy Wynne lives in Buckinghamshire in the UK with her husband and son and their two crazy dogs. She is a graduate of the MA Children's Book Illustration Course at Anglia Ruskin and loves spending time in her studio telling stories with her drawings and prints. Lucy was Head Dyer at the English National Opera for many years, printing and dyeing fabrics for costume and film and she is always drawn to vivid colours and decoration.
