Abnormal and Clinical Psychology by Paul Bennett
Offers an introduction to conceptual models of mental health problems and their treatment. This book is divided into two sections, and the first section examines concepts of abnormality, diagnostic systems frequently used to classify mental health disorders and more. The second section considers the causes and treatment of a variety of disorders.
Paul Bennett has taught in Bristol and Cardiff Universities and is presently the Director of Research for the Bristol Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Training Programme which is linked to the Universities of Plymouth and Exeter. He has worked as a clinical psychologist, with people with both mental and physical health problems. He has authored a number of clinical texts including An Introduction to Clinical Health Psychology, published by the Open University Press in 2000.
