Brown Ale by Jim Parker

Brown ale is the chameleon of all beers. Ray Daniels and Jim Parker harness the mystery of this beer style and divulge some of its secrets. They also reveal how Samuel Smith's and Scottish and Newcastle breweries craft their world-renown ale and why chefs use brown ale more than any other beer style.
Jim Parker has worked as a pub owner, brewer, brewpub manager, brewspaper publisher, and newspaper beer columnist, and he is a former director of the American Homebrewers Association. He is currently editor-in-chief of Zymurgy and The New Brewer, two magazines published by the Brewers Association in Boulder, Colorado. Jim lives in Gresham, Oregon. James Collins is a photographer and graphic designer living in State College, Pennsylvania.
