MSP430 Microcontroller Lab Manual by James Kretzschmar
This book is a practical reference for using Texas Instruments MSP430 microcontrollers. It provides a series of hands-on laboratory exercises. The labs may be completed in a traditional laboratory setting or at home using the Digilent Analog Discovery 2 Test Instrument. This book can be used as a reference for planning future projects using the MSP430 microcontroller. The authors focus on applications of the main peripheral modules available on the MSP430 microcontroller – CPU clock, Basic Input/Output, Timer, Analog-to-Digital Converter. They also provide examples of how to develop Pulse Width Modulation signals, and how to use Interrupts.-

He has been teaching since he was a child. From middle school science enhancement programs through graduate-level curriculum, he has taught at all levels. He was a member of the United States Air Force for 20 years, with almost half of that time spent as a professor at the United States Air Force Academy. Upon his military retirement, he began a second academic career as an assistant professor at the University of Wyoming. He is now an Associate Dean for Academic Programs and a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
He intends to teach until he is 80 years old and considers himself a student-centered educator. He has two grand beagles, Rory and Romper, whom he affectionately refers to as the girls.
