Shapeshifting for Beginners by Emma Simon
Emma Simon’s wide-ranging, work explores how strange and surreal the everyday can be and how real life and stories tend to bleed into one another. These poems – mysterious, mythic, magical – remain deeply accessible, while being witty and serious. An unforgettable debut collection.
Emma Simon lives in London where she is currently completing an MA in poetry, and working part-time as a copy editor. She has had two pamphlets published and has appeared in various anthologies and magazines – including The Rialto, The North and The Interpreters’ House. In 2015 she was selected to take part in the Arvon Jerwood mentoring scheme, where she was mentored by Caroline Bird.
