D. D. Raphael is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy in the University of London. His previous books include Problems of Political Philosophy (1970) and Moral Philosophy (OUP OPUS, 1981, second edition 1994). Donald Winch is Professor of the History of Economics at the University of Sussex. His
previous publications include studies of classical political economy, the relationship of economics and policy during the twentieth century, Adam Smith's Politics (1978), and That Noble Science of Politics, with Stefan Collini and John Burrow. Robert Skidelsky is Professor of Political Economy at
Warwick University. He is the author of the widely acclaimed biography, John Maynard Keynes.
