We are Three Sisters by Blake Morrison
A thrillingly atmospheric historical drama for the stage, evoking the lives of the Bronte sisters, with a nod to Chekhov's Three Sisters.'Well-researched.. beautifully intact, and speaks absolutely to the constrained world the Brontës inhabited'
* Telegraph *'Morrison's use of the Three Sisters template is as intelligent as it is daring... a finely tuned piece'
* Guardian *'An excellent play, beautifully written... see it if you have an interest in the Brontës, love Yorkshire, or just want to see a new example of a good, straightforward play'
* publicreviews.com *'Goes some way to setting right the many myths and easy answers that seem to have grown round the Brontë family... with its honest and vigorous humour, it banishes the gloom.'
