Rainer Rumold is associate professor of German literature and critical thought at Northwestern University, has written books on Gottfried Benn, German Expressionism, and Helmut Heissenbuttel. He is coeditor (with Marjorie Perloff) of the series Avant-Garde and Modernsim Studies.
