Over time, the brand has expanded to include handbags, accessories, jewelry, shoes, apparel, eyewear, hosiery, tabletop, paper products, and perfume. In 2007, kate spade merged with Liz Claiborne, Inc. Deborah Lloyd, formerly of Banana Republic and Burberry, then took the helm as president and chief creative officer with an aim to broaden the line while honoring the brand's rich history.
