Jackie Brooks was born in Washington D.C. and has lived in Panama City Beach, Florida for the past twenty years. Living in a small, southern, tourist community provides situations and characters that just scream to be written about. Being the youngest of three girls, her sisters will tell you she's always gotten away with murder. So it only makes sense that she writes mystery novels. She writes with her trusty dog, Buddie (a flat coated retriever) under her chair, and her cat, Kit Kat (named after the Knight Rider car), on her desk behind the laptop.
