ERIC ROSS was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, and attended the University of New Brunswick and Edinburgh University, where he studied history and geography. He taught geography at the University of Victoria, was a visiting professor at Université Laval and Edinburgh University, was the chair of the geography department at Bishop's University, and is now the head of the geography department at Mount Allison University.
