Scott Tilley is the Director of Computer Education at the Florida Institute of Technology, where he is a Professor in the Department of Education and Interdisciplinary Studies. He is the Chair of the IEEE Web Systems Evolution (WSE) Steering Committee and a Former Chair of the ACM's SIGDOC (Special Interest Group on Design of Communication). He is a Distinguished Speaker for the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Software engineering and computing education are two of his key interests, and his software engineering research focuses on software testing, cloud computing, and system migration. Computing literacy, instructional technology, and STEM outreach are all areas of Scott's work in computing education. He contributes a weekly piece to the Florida Today newspaper (Gannett) called Technology Today.
