Simmons' painterly illustrations strengthen the story with their bright, vibrant colours for the characters in contrast to more muted shades for the background. * Books for Keeps *
This is a gentle story for children that promotes a sense of caring, cooperation and appreciation for others. With its lovely bright illustrations it's an ideal book for reading aloud and sharing with others. * School Librarian *
Attractively illustrated by Jane Simmons, it packs a lot in before ending with both bears dancing around in a beautiful double-page spread. * Independent *
