Handbook of the Birds of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa: Warblers v.6 Stanley Cramp
This work of reference plans to take account of the advances in ornithology. One of eight volumes aiming to represent the birds of the Western Palearctic, this book describes 64 different warblers - their habitat, distribution, mortality and longevity, population, social patterns and behaviour, breeding, food, voice, plumages, moults, size, weights, structure and geographical variation. Regular migration and accidental species are treated under these headings where appropriate. Illustrations show the eggs, the normal plumage and more distant flight views. Also included are figures of display postures and voice sonograms and melograms.
