Elizabeth Russel Taylor was educated at the Sorbonne and at King's College, London. She has recieved numerous awards, including a Wingate scholarship and and grants for the Art Council and the Authors' Fundation. As well as six highly acclaimed novels, Russel Taylor has published literacy criticism, journalism and children's literature, and has written for films and radio.She is married to the painter Tom Fairs and lives in London.
