Gringras: The Laws of the Internet Résumé

Gringras: The Laws of the Internet Paul Lambert

The free flow of information and services around the world via the Internet constantly creates new issues and problems, such as rules of jurisdiction and applicable law and how new products and services should be regulated. Gringras: The Laws of the Internet is a key legal text book covering laws relevant to the Internet including ecommerce, social media, copyright, online contracting, data protection, competition and content related issues. It approaches this complicated area in a clear and straightforward way whilst addressing more complex issues for which there is sometimes minimal legal history. The text for the new fourth edition will be updated throughout including specific coverage of: Social media and networking; Interflora v Marks & Spencer and other keywords case law; New distance selling regime requirements; Impact of changes in data protection legislation; Virtual goods.

Gringras: The Laws of the Internet Avis

The Laws of the Internet is a comprehensive practitioner's text which will undoubtedly be a useful reference point for any lawyer operating in the commercial sphere...a convenient first port of call...extremely accessible with technical knowledge never assumed...the only judicially-acclaimed text on this subject for a reason - it is the most authoritative and comprehensive practitioner's text available in the area and comes highly recommended as a reference point for all lawyers advising on commercial transactions via the internet. -- Annabelle Gold-Caution * www.scl.org (The Society for Computers & Law) *
The book continues the excellent standard set by preceding editions. As well as incorporating new case law, it analyses recent legislation...and flags up emerging issues...This is a book which will remain, at least for the forseeable future, indispensable for anyone - whether a practitioner or a client - who needs to dip a toe into the murky waters of internet law. * Commonwealth Lawyer Vol 25, No 1 *
